Today is my step-mother's birthday.
The memorial was nice yesterday for Jimmy. We got to see Claudette and she was happy to see me again. Claudette was Jimmy's friend and a former girlfriend. It was nice because the flag ceremony and twenty-one gun salute were good and Tom, Jimmy's oldest son, got the flag.
We left before the actual grave-side service because it was starting to storm. At least we were in the truck when the big downpour came along.
We found out that Harley is staying with Jimmy's youngest son, Richard. It's not an ideal situation, but at least that little dog is being taken care of. He must be confused and missing Jimmy, who spoiled him.
Mike and Jack are supposed to be here at four for dinner. I've already made the kool-aid.
